The Oakland People’s Arms Embargo (OPAE) is building neighborhood-based organizing across Oakland to bring more people into the campaign and create opportunities for Oakland residents to take action together. Our pods are a space for neighbors to build relationships, organize locally, and strengthen the movement for a People’s Arms Embargo.

To make it easier for people to organize where they live, OPAE is divided into four geographic pods:

North Oakland (Temescal, Rockridge, Bushrod, Longfellow, Santa Fe, Golden Gate, Piedmont Avenue, and Mosswood),

West Oakland (West Oakland, Hoover Foster, Prescott, McClymonds, Clawson, Jack London, Downtown, and Uptown),

Central/South Oakland (Lake Merritt, Eastlake, San Antonio, Chinatown, Fruitvale, Jingletown, Dimond, and Glenview),

East Oakland (Laurel, Allendale, Fairfax, Maxwell Park, Seminary, Coliseum, Havenscourt, Millsmont, Castlemont, Elmhurst, Brookfield, and Deep East Oakland).
