Contra Costa Get Trained

The attacks against our communities and our democracy are escalating. The midterm elections are approaching, and we must defend the integrity of our elections and say: Hands off our ballot!

Join other fellow Contra Costa Residents, where we will analyze the political landscape, prepare for potential election scenarios, practice democratic decision-making, and develop a common strategy for organizing between now and November.

Participants will choose one of two training options:

1. Introduction to Non-Cooperation: Learn how strategic non-cooperation can be used to defend democracy and defeat authoritarianism. Ideal for those new to Bay Resistance workshops.

2. Nonviolent Direct Action Training: Designed for participants who have already completed Bay Resistance non-cooperation training. This advanced workshop includes simulations of taking direct action.

Whether you're organizing your neighborhood, mobilizing voters, standing up to billionaire-backed authoritarianism, or preparing for collective action, this gathering is an opportunity to connect with others across the Bay Area and strengthen our collective readiness.

Come with your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, or your organization. Together, we'll build the relationships, skills, and strategy needed to defend our communities and our democracy.

Lunch will be provided. Registration is required. We look forward to seeing you on October 10 at 10am.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m., and the program begins at 10:00 a.m.
